Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Curly Locks by Leonid Sokov was sold in the Russian Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in June 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 32,760.00 (€ 38,173.92) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonid Sokov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lenin And Giacometti, which sold at auction in June 2018 for GBP 68,750.00 (€ 77,699.22).
