The work Protect The Leaders (Diptych) 2 by Leonid Sokov was sold in the Escape Artists 2.0: The Non-Conformists Online auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2019. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,411.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonid Sokov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lenin And Giacometti, which sold at auction in June 2018 for GBP 68,750.00 (€ 77,699.22).
