This artwork by Leonid Sokov achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2020. In the Russian Pictures auction, the work Lips And Moustache sold for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 30,286.48) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonid Sokov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lenin And Giacometti, which sold at auction in June 2018 for GBP 68,750.00 (€ 77,699.22).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Leonid Sokov erzielte im Juni 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Pictures wurde die Arbeit Lips And Moustache für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 30.286,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Leonid Sokov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lenin And Giacometti beobachtet, die im Juni 2018 für GBP 68.750,00 (€ 77.699,22) versteigert wurde.
