Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Escape Artists 2.0: The Non-Conformists Online, which included the work Lenin And Gorbachev by Leonid Sokov. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,465.26) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leonid Sokov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lenin And Giacometti in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 77,699.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Escape Artists 2.0: The Non-Conformists Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lenin And Gorbachev von Leonid Sokov zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.465,26) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leonid Sokov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lenin And Giacometti im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 77.699,22).
