This artwork by Leonid Sokov achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2019. In the Russian Pictures auction, the work Lenin And Giacometti sold for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 38,162.95) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonid Sokov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lenin And Giacometti, which sold at auction in June 2018 for GBP 68,750.00 (€ 77,699.22).
