Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Russian Before The Mirror, 1987 by Leonid Lamm was sold in the Russian Art auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 37,000.00 (€ 23,766.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Leonid Lamm have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2007 the work Adam And Eve, A Pair From The Seventh Heaven Series was auctioned for GBP 24,500.00 (€ 34,306.34).
