Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2006 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental and Russian Pictures, which included the work A quiet snow covered street; and Thirsty work by Leonid Ignatevich Vaishlya. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 504.00 (€ 748.00). Other works by Leonid Ignatevich Vaishlya have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 900.00 (€ 1,317.72) in April 2007 for the work Corn blowing in the wind; Farm workers.
