The »bidding war« ended at USD 5,313.00 (€ 3,895.16), 33% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Leonid Berman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Diabolo Players in March 2021 with an auction result of EUR 17,640.00.

Die Arbeit Malamocco (Lagune Venitienne) von Leonid Berman wurde im Mai 2014 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Including Russian Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 5.313,00 (€ 3.895,16) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leonid Berman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Diabolo Players im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 17.640,00.
