Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Parapluie-Revel by Leonetto Cappiello was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,080.00 (€ 3,897.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonetto Cappiello - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Campari, which sold at auction in December 2020 for GBP 7,012.50 (€ 7,833.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Parapluie-Revel von Leonetto Cappiello wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.080,00 (€ 3.897,22) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Leonetto Cappiello mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Campari beobachtet, die im Dezember 2020 für GBP 7.012,50 (€ 7.833,59) versteigert wurde.
