Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Yorkshire, Richmond. British Railways by Leonard Russell Squirrell was sold in the Vintage Posters Online auction at Bonhams in February this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 701.25 (€ 799.87). Admittedly, works by Leonard Russell Squirrell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Venice from the Lido in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 2,115.00 (€ 3,352.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Yorkshire, Richmond. British Railways von Leonard Russell Squirrell wurde im Februar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Vintage Posters Online bei Bonhams versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 701,25 (€ 799,87) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leonard Russell Squirrell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Venice from the Lido im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.115,00 (€ 3.352,54).
