In June 2005 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Fringe of Wednesday Market, Uttoxeter by Leonard Russell Squirrell. The auction ended at the price of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,778.48), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Other works by Leonard Russell Squirrell have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2000 the work Venice from the Lido was auctioned for GBP 2,115.00 (€ 3,352.54).
