In the Christie's Interiors Including Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours From The Collection of The Late John Appleby auction, the work {A small collection of topographical views including: Christchurch Priory, Dorset (illustrated); Farley Chamberlayne church, Hampshire; Summer evening, Bolton Abbey, Yorkshire; Monk Bretton Abbey, Barnsley, Yorkshire; and Easby Abbey, Richmond, Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Leonard Russell Squirrell; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Venice from the Lido sold at auction in June 2000 with the realized price of GBP 2,115.00 (€ 3,352.54).
