Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Margaret by Leonard McComb was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in May 2007. The price achieved of GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,531.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonard McComb - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fish, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,547.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Margaret von Leonard McComb wurde im Mai 2007 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.531,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Leonard McComb mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fish beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 5.760,00 (€ 8.547,55) versteigert wurde.
