Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Leonard McComb could be acquired at Christies in London in June 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Peaches changed hands for GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,136.89) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonard McComb - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fish, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,547.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Leonard McComb konnte im Juni 2007 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wechselte die Arbeit Peaches für GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.136,89) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Leonard McComb mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fish beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 5.760,00 (€ 8.547,55) versteigert wurde.
