This artwork by Leon Shulman Gaspard achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2016. In the Including the Bar-Gera Collection of Soviet Non-Conformist Art auction, the work A Russian Peasant Woman sold for GBP 28,750.00 (€ 33,922.17) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leon Shulman Gaspard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Finish of the Kermesse in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 2,001,000.00 (€ 1,362,336.60).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 92 % übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Leon Shulman Gaspard erzielte im November 2016 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Including the Bar-Gera Collection of Soviet Non-Conformist Art wurde die Arbeit A Russian Peasant Woman für GBP 28.750,00 (€ 33.922,17) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leon Shulman Gaspard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Finish of the Kermesse im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.001.000,00 (€ 1.362.336,60).
