Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Leon Shulman Gaspard could be acquired at Sothebys in London in June 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Russian Pictures auction, the work A Well-Deserved Rest changed hands for GBP 47,500.00 (€ 54,093.64) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leon Shulman Gaspard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Finish of the Kermesse in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 2,001,000.00 (€ 1,362,336.60).
