Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Léon Herbo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of an Art Connoisseur, possibly Ira Aldridge in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 137,500.00 (€ 119,027.01).

Die Arbeit The afternoon walk von Léon Herbo kam im Juni 2003 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 3.760,00 (€ 5.403,32) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Léon Herbo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of an Art Connoisseur, possibly Ira Aldridge im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.500,00 (€ 119.027,01).
