This artwork by Léon Herbo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in February 2013. In the Old Master and 19th Century European Paintings and Drawings, including Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni auction, the work Her Future Before Her sold for USD 17,500.00 (€ 13,380.23) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Léon Herbo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of an Art Connoisseur, possibly Ira Aldridge in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 137,500.00 (€ 119,027.01).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Léon Herbo erzielte im Februar 2013 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century European Paintings and Drawings, including Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni wurde die Arbeit Her Future Before Her für USD 17.500,00 (€ 13.380,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Léon Herbo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of an Art Connoisseur, possibly Ira Aldridge im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.500,00 (€ 119.027,01).
