Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2005 Christies in Milan held the auction ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA, which included the work Orto Botanico by Léon Gischia. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,728.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Léon Gischia - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composition, which sold at auction in September 2017 for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,819.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA durch, in der auch die Arbeit Orto Botanico von Léon Gischia zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.728,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Léon Gischia mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Composition beobachtet, die im September 2017 für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.819,86) versteigert wurde.
