Huang Guiquan was born in Hong Kong in 1932. His works have been repeatedly recognized by the International Association of Photographers. Adept at infusing the photographic moment with emotion, he also uses multiple exposure to combine well-defined and undefined images. Dreaming of Spring, Rainy Day
Without a clear protagonist, Dreaming of Spring records the atmosphere of a shaded path in nature and plays with the illusion of depth to invite the viewer into the scene. Rainy Day skillfully makes use of reflections to dramatize the colours of a rain-drenched road. The two images, though taken from reality, poetically evoke the wonders of nature and human society.

Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2013 Sothebys in Beijing held the auction Sotheby's Charity Auction - Ai You Reborn, which included the work I. Dreaming Of Spring Ii. Rainy Day by Leo K. K. Wong. The price achieved of CNY 10,620.00 (€ 1,282.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CNY 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Leo K. K. Wong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dreaming Of Spring in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 112,500.00 (€ 11,012.49).

Im September 2013 führte Sothebys in Beijing die Auktion Sotheby's Charity Auction - Ai You Reborn durch, in der auch die Arbeit I. Dreaming Of Spring Ii. Rainy Day von Leo K. K. Wong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CNY 10.620,00 (€ 1.282,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CNY 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leo K. K. Wong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dreaming Of Spring im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 112.500,00 (€ 11.012,49).
