Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2017 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction The former Kamerbeek Collection, which included the work Strolling Couple by Leo Gestel. The price achieved of EUR 500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leo Gestel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gladiolen in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 505,250.00 (€ 638,652.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2017 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion The former Kamerbeek Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Strolling Couple von Leo Gestel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leo Gestel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gladiolen im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 505.250,00 (€ 638.652,94).
