Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Leo Davy was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2019. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,359.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leo Davy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Street Scene I, which sold at auction in March 2015 for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 12,097.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Leo Davy kam im September 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.359,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Leo Davy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Street Scene I beobachtet, die im März 2015 für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 12.097,34) versteigert wurde.
