Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Lenore Tawney was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,804.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Lenore Tawney have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2011 the work without title was auctioned for USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,825.63).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Lenore Tawney kam im November 2012 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.804,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Lenore Tawney konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2011 die Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 8.125,00 (€ 5.825,63) versteigert.
