Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Utanför bykrogen". by Lennart Jirlow was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in May this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 400,000.00 – 500,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 370,000.00 (€ 31,880.98). Other works by Lennart Jirlow have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April 2016 by the work Cycling in Provence at SEK 500,000.00 (€ 54,409.58).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Utanför bykrogen". von Lennart Jirlow im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 400.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 370.000,00 (€ 31.880,98) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Lennart Jirlow wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im April 2016 die Arbeit Cycling in Provence mit SEK 500.000,00 (€ 54.409,58).
