Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Listening To Music By The Qin by Leng Mei was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. The price achieved of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 16,591.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leng Mei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Young Hercules in May 2010 with an auction result of HKD 16,900,000.00 (€ 1,755,719.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Listening To Music By The Qin von Leng Mei kam im November 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 16.591,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leng Mei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Young Hercules im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 16.900.000,00 (€ 1.755.719,95).
