In October last year China Guardian held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Figures by Leng Mei. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 180,000.00 (€ 23,066.24), 44% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leng Mei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Young Hercules in May 2010 with an auction result of HKD 16,900,000.00 (€ 1,755,719.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 44 % übertroffen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte China Guardian die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figures von Leng Mei zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 180.000,00 (€ 23.066,24) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leng Mei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Young Hercules im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 16.900.000,00 (€ 1.755.719,95).
