Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Beauty and Boys by Leng Mei was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Paris in June this year. The price achieved of HKD 882,000.00 (€ 103,061.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 700,000.00 – 1,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leng Mei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Young Hercules in May 2010 with an auction result of HKD 16,900,000.00 (€ 1,755,719.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Beauty and Boys von Leng Mei wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 882.000,00 (€ 103.061,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 700.000,00 – 1.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leng Mei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Young Hercules im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 16.900.000,00 (€ 1.755.719,95).
