Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work 'Marilyn Monroe photographed in Los Angeles at Bel Air Hotel, June 27th 1962' by Leif-Erik Nygards was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in October this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 55,000.00 (€ 4,657.93). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leif-Erik Nygards - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Marilyn Monroe, Bel Air Hotel, June 27th 1962", which sold at auction in November 2012 for SEK 90,000.00 (€ 10,383.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit 'Marilyn Monroe photographed in Los Angeles at Bel Air Hotel, June 27th 1962' von Leif-Erik Nygards im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 55.000,00 (€ 4.657,93) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Leif-Erik Nygards mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Marilyn Monroe, Bel Air Hotel, June 27th 1962" beobachtet, die im November 2012 für SEK 90.000,00 (€ 10.383,55) versteigert wurde.
