Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Marilyn Monroe photographed in Los Angeles at Bel Air Hotel, June 27th 1962". by Leif-Erik Nygards was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in October 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 12,000.00 (€ 1,208.10). Admittedly, works by Leif-Erik Nygards have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Marilyn Monroe, Bel Air Hotel, June 27th 1962" in November 2012 with an auction result of SEK 90,000.00 (€ 10,383.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Marilyn Monroe photographed in Los Angeles at Bel Air Hotel, June 27th 1962". von Leif-Erik Nygards im Oktober 2021 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 12.000,00 (€ 1.208,10) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leif-Erik Nygards auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Marilyn Monroe, Bel Air Hotel, June 27th 1962" im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 90.000,00 (€ 10.383,55).
