In October this year Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Dialogue by Lee Ufan. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 100,800.00 (€ 115,746.40), 68% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lee Ufan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work From Line, No. 760219 in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 2,165,000.00 (€ 1,740,633.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 68 % übertroffen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dialogue von Lee Ufan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 100.800,00 (€ 115.746,40) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lee Ufan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit From Line, No. 760219 im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.165.000,00 (€ 1.740.633,54).
