Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli and International Art, which included this untitled work by Lea Nikel. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,344.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lea Nikel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in December 2014 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 46,483.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli and International Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Lea Nikel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.344,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lea Nikel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 46.483,76).
