Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled (Red) by Lea Nikel was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2015. It achieved a price of USD 21,250.00 (€ 19,569.02), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lea Nikel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in December 2014 for USD 56,250.00 (€ 46,483.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Red) von Lea Nikel kam im Dezember 2015 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 19.569,02) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Für andere Arbeiten von Lea Nikel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Dezember 2014 für USD 56.250,00 (€ 46.483,76) versteigert wurde.
