Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli & International Art, which included this untitled work by Lea Nikel. The price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 15,399.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 14,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lea Nikel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in December 2014 for USD 56,250.00 (€ 46,483.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli & International Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Lea Nikel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 15.399,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 14.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Lea Nikel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Dezember 2014 für USD 56.250,00 (€ 46.483,76) versteigert wurde.
