This artwork by Le Thi Luu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Portrait Of A Young Girl Holding A Doll sold for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 20,593.87) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Le Thi Luu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two children in garden in April last year with an auction result of HKD 6,300,000.00 (€ 761,715.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 94 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Le Thi Luu erzielte im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of A Young Girl Holding A Doll für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 20.593,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Le Thi Luu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Two children in garden im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.300.000,00 (€ 761.715,86).
