Artwork auctioned at six times the upper estimate price
The work Children Picking Flowers by Le Thi Luu was worth HKD 1,625,000.00 (€ 171,463.48) to a buyer in April 2018. This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 250,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Le Thi Luu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two children in garden in April last year with an auction result of HKD 6,300,000.00 (€ 761,715.86).

Die Arbeit Children Picking Flowers von Le Thi Luu war einem Käufer im April 2018 HKD 1.625.000,00 (€ 171.463,48) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 250.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Le Thi Luu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Two children in garden im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.300.000,00 (€ 761.715,86).
