Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Marilyn by Lawrence Schiller was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in New York in October 2018. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,515.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lawrence Schiller - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portfolio, "Marilyn" (Shot on the Set of "Something's Gotta Give"), which sold at auction in April 2021 for USD 24,062.50 (€ 20,002.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Marilyn von Lawrence Schiller wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.515,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Lawrence Schiller mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portfolio, "Marilyn" (Shot on the Set of "Something's Gotta Give") beobachtet, die im April 2021 für USD 24.062,50 (€ 20.002,08) versteigert wurde.
