The work Untitled (Puzzle Painting) by Lawrence Carroll was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in London in April last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 27,720.00 (€ 33,055.12), 54% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lawrence Carroll; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot 1969 sold at auction in December 2013 with the realized price of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 48,113.80).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 27.720,00 (€ 33.055,12) und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Lawrence Carroll; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit 1969 im Dezember 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 48.113,80).
