The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,985.00 (€ 6,985.00), 40% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Lawrence Carroll have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 1969 in December 2013 with an auction result of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 48,113.80).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.985,00 (€ 6.985,00) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lawrence Carroll auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 1969 im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 48.113,80).
