This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California Part II Online at Bonhams and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lawrence Carroll; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot 1969 sold at auction in December 2013 with the realized price of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 48,113.80).
