This artwork by Laurence Biddle achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March 2015. In the Made In Britain auction, the work Pansies sold for GBP 1,500.00 (€ 2,073.83) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Laurence Biddle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work French Marigolds, Primroses, Geraniums, Violets And Other Flowers In A Bowl; And Another Similar, which sold at auction in March 2006 for GBP 4,320.00 (€ 6,189.78).
