Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California, which included the work View of the Getty Museum, 2000 by Larry Cohen. The price achieved of USD 1,530.00 (€ 1,305.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Admittedly, works by Larry Cohen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View From The California Incline, 2006 in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 6,950.00 (€ 6,233.74).

Im September 2020 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California durch, in der auch die Arbeit View of the Getty Museum, 2000 von Larry Cohen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.530,00 (€ 1.305,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Larry Cohen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit View From The California Incline, 2006 im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.950,00 (€ 6.233,74).
