In the Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art auction, the work View of the Coast from Ocean Ave, Santa Monica, 2014 sold for USD 5,355.00 (€ 5,082.09) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Larry Cohen; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot View From The California Incline, 2006 sold at auction in May 2019 with the realized price of USD 6,950.00 (€ 6,233.74).
