A top price for Lara Baladi - as previously expected
The work Sandouk El-Dounia by Lara Baladi was sold in the International Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Dubai in October 2008. The price achieved of USD 98,500.00 (€ 77,669.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Sandouk El-Dounia is the most expensive artwork by Lara Baladi that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Sandouk El-Dounia von Lara Baladi wurde im Oktober 2008 in der Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 98.500,00 (€ 77.669,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Sandouk El-Dounia das teuerste Kunstwerk von Lara Baladi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
