This artwork by Lara Baladi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in April 2012. In the Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part II auction, the work Roba Vecchia sold for USD 52,500.00 (€ 39,685.54) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lara Baladi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sandouk El-Dounia sold at auction in October 2008 with the realized price of USD 98,500.00 (€ 77,669.14).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Lara Baladi erzielte im April 2012 bei Christies in Dubai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part II wurde die Arbeit Roba Vecchia für USD 52.500,00 (€ 39.685,54) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Lara Baladi; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Sandouk El-Dounia im Oktober 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 98.500,00 (€ 77.669,14).
