Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Justice for the Mother by Lara Baladi was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction at Christies in Dubai in May this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,080.00 (€ 9,461.24) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Lara Baladi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sandouk El-Dounia in October 2008 with an auction result of USD 98,500.00 (€ 77,669.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Justice for the Mother von Lara Baladi wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Middle Eastern Art bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.080,00 (€ 9.461,24) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lara Baladi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sandouk El-Dounia im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 98.500,00 (€ 77.669,14).
