Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2013 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern and Contemporary Arab,Iranian and Turkish Art Part II, which included the work Justice for the Motherland by Lara Baladi. It changed hands for a price of USD 37,500.00 (€ 27,585.70) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lara Baladi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sandouk El-Dounia, which sold at auction in October 2008 for USD 98,500.00 (€ 77,669.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2013 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab,Iranian and Turkish Art Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Justice for the Motherland von Lara Baladi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 27.585,70) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lara Baladi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sandouk El-Dounia beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für USD 98.500,00 (€ 77.669,14) versteigert wurde.
