Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Distant Hills from a Bare Wood by Lan Ying. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 352,800.00 (€ 41,884.93), 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lan Ying achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscapes in March 2019 with an auction result of HKD 29,870,000.00 (€ 3,389,239.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Distant Hills from a Bare Wood von Lan Ying zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 352.800,00 (€ 41.884,93) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lan Ying erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscapes im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 29.870.000,00 (€ 3.389.239,40).
