In November 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction The Sculpture Sale, which included the work Lioness by Lambertus Zijl. The auction ended at the price of EUR 2,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lambertus Zijl have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kneeling Nude in December 2014 with an auction result of EUR 9,375.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion The Sculpture Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lioness von Lambertus Zijl zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 2.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lambertus Zijl auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kneeling Nude im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.375,00.
