The work Het Boek by Lambertus Zijl was sold in the 19TH AND 20TH CENTURY SCULPTURE auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2005. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,160.00 44% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Lambertus Zijl have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kneeling Nude in December 2014 with an auction result of EUR 9,375.00.

Die Arbeit Het Boek von Lambertus Zijl wurde im November 2005 in der Auktion 19TH AND 20TH CENTURY SCULPTURE bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.160,00 und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lambertus Zijl auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kneeling Nude im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.375,00.
