Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A portrait of princess Juliana by Lambertus Zijl was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 700.00 – 900.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 720.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lambertus Zijl achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kneeling Nude in December 2014 with an auction result of EUR 9,375.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A portrait of princess Juliana von Lambertus Zijl kam im Januar 2005 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 720,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lambertus Zijl erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Kneeling Nude im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.375,00.
